MOSES HAS ANSWERED THIS QUESTION
In Deuteronomy chapter 10, Moses is talking to the people who say
that they want to follow Yahweh. If we want to follow Yahweh and
have him consider us to be one of his, these requirements are still valid
for us today.
Verse 12: (KJS) And now, Israel, what doth {Yahweh} {your Mighty One} require of thee, but to fear {Yahweh} {your Mighty One}, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve {Yahweh} {your Mighty One} with all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13 (KJS) To keep the commandments of {Yahweh}, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
A CONCEPT PARAPHRASE:
And now, to those who call themselves Yahweh’s people, what does
Yahweh your Mighty One require of you, but to fear Yahweh your Mighty One,
to walk in all his ways, and to love him; and to serve Yahweh your Mighty
One with all your will and all that you are, 13 to keep the commandments
of Yahweh (such as the Ten Commandments) and his statutes (such as his
civil laws and appointed times), which I command you this day for your
own good?
